Compliance officers run their day
through dense software.

Enterprise compliance is a regulated, high-stakes workflow — rule libraries, audit trails, policy mapping, evidence collection. GoCompliance covered all of it, but the interface had become the bottleneck. Dense screens, inconsistent patterns, and years of feature-by-feature additions had made a complex tool feel unmanageable.

The brief: improve the core UX/UI without dumbing down the product. Compliance officers needed every lever they already had — just presented with a cohesive hierarchy and consistent visual language.

What I did

A UX pass, top to bottom.

Information hierarchy

Critical vs. contextual.

Restructured every primary surface — rule sets, audit queues, evidence review, dashboards. Critical status and actions surfaced first; secondary context pushed to panels or progressive disclosure. Same density, different layering.

Navigation & wayfinding

Know where you are.

Rebuilt navigation around actual workflows — regulatory frameworks, audit cycles, entity-based views. Consistent breadcrumb plus context header across every deep page, so cross-framework work stopped feeling like a new app each time.

Visual consistency

One visual language.

Reconciled years of inconsistencies — table styles, status treatments, form patterns, filter systems — into one coherent language. The product now feels designed in one sitting, not built out over half a decade of sprint tickets.
